The mechanism plate. The complete mecha-

nism is mounted on a plate for rigidity and ease

of servicing. An eccentric and a fixed cam pro-

duces the claw movement which is rendered

positive by counter tension. There are four drive

shafts operating on self-lubricated bearings.

The aperture plate (fig.3) is manufactured from

stainless steel hard chromium plated. On the left

hand edge there is a fixed guide which is the

edge reference for the film. On the right hand

side is a spring loaded guide which controls the

lateral stability of the film. The two guides on the

back cover, position the nose of the magazine

on the mechanism plate.
